Access Log Manager
Access Log Manager - what role does it serve and how you'll be able to use the data you can find inside it.
An access log is a complete list of all the files that were accessed by the guests of a particular Internet site. Any file which was requested for whatever reason shall be listed, so if you have one webpage with 3 embedded pictures, one video and one embedded text file, for example, the access log shall contain a total of six entries - one for any of the 6 files which were accessed when the website visitor opened the page. A log typically shows the file name and path, the date, plus the visitor’s Operating System, browser and IP address. Sometimes you could also find the referrer sites that sent the visitors to your website. The info which an access log file includes is in human-readable plain text format. It may be processed by special software on a laptop or computer and used to write reports on the efficiency of a website, independent of the web statistics which your web hosting server may have created.
Access Log Manager in Cloud Website Hosting
When you purchase a cloud website hosting from us, you will be able to decide if access logs have to be created and for which domains or subdomains inside your account this must be done. You can enable this option from the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, integrated with all shared accounts. Each and every domain you host or subdomain you create will be listed there and you will see an On/Off option next to each of them, so you can easily activate or disable the generation of access logs individually for each site that you have. You could save a log to your personal computer by clicking on the Download link that you'll see in the exact same section of the Control Panel. The link is available even if you deactivate the log generation, so you'll still have access to the data gathered by our system.
